Shocks
There was a recent article in Trailer Life about a new shock package. Here is the link to the product.
I am going to do this in the spring along with some better spring eye bushings.
http://www.rvimprovementsystems.com/joy_rider.html
Have any of you done a spring eye kit, and if so, which one ?
The kit above, with better bushings, looks like it can really deal with old wagon ride our trailers have.

I read that same article. Sounds like a good idea.

Would appreciate feedback from an actual user of this product.

My old cruiser came with shocks, but they must be different than these cause I'm pretty sure Crossroads didn't spent that much...

I would imagine that there are not a lot of installations yet since they are a new company. Munroe used to manufacture a similar setup, but has discontinued it.

I wonder why you would need it with the equaflex suspension already on there.

I've never ridden in mine and don't plan to but it doesn't appear that it's much of a problem. Things stay on the counters and no signs of excessive bounce. Besides a little on the pricey side.

Not on our 2010. Our Cruiser has a "Secure Stance" suspension, which simply means the axles are further apart and the center link is longer. Otherwise, it is still turn of the century, last, not this, technology.
I have been looking to see of there is an Equa-Flex sized for the Secure Stance, I have to make some calls to Lippert and talk to a rep there and discuss measurements.
Out 2010 pitches and sways some because of the crude suspension. That I why I want shocks or other type of enhanced suspension system.

I don't drive 80. From your other post about the quick trip you may be way light on pin weight if packing a few things in the middle instead of put away made a difference. You might try a trip thru the scales and see what the numbers are. I'm running over 20% pin weight. 2400 lbs vs trailer weight of 11k

I had a 2006 cruiser 5th wheel, with shocks.
Had a tire blow out 2 times, doing extensive damage.
The second time, the mechanic found the reason.
the shock brackets, on the frame, were welded too close to the tires,
wearing a groove in the side wall. Thus a blow out.
This is not apparent when the camper is sitting still.
But, "side motion", when traveling, causes the tire wear.

if you go through the pictures here
http://lci1.com/equa-flex
there "looks" to be one that is built for the wider stance
when I saved this picture from their site, it is titled "spread-axle" so I think they have them available.
how do they work ? (for those of you whose trailers are so equipped).
this is a good discussion as I have been reading and researching to determine the best solution

When we ordered our trailer, I think the equa-flex was an option. Not really sure any more, but it's on the trailer, and I'm more then satisfied with the way it works.
I did install the wet bolt kit after a year or two. That quieted the squeaks.
All in all, I would take it over a set of shocks any day.

OOur first Travel Trailer a Zinger did not have anything on in that department. Was going for shocks when Equa Flex came out put that on the Zinger, and what a improvement. When we got the Cruiser it had just become standard.

Well, maybe back to square one and shocks. I called Crossroads and asked if Equa-Flex was ever offered as an option with "Secure Stance" and the answer was no.
I have to take some pictures and get dimensions to send to a rep at Lippert and see if there is a way to adapt their unit.
If not, I guess better shackle bushings and a shock setup are what we will do, as the other options are a bit more than we can afford.
