slide issues

Just back from trip, main living slide would not work, when standing inside the bottom left (dinette end) was lagging behind the right side. The motor would only work for 2-4 seconds at a time. There was a popping sound. Any idea? (2013 st29ss)

Other than checking for obstructions stuck between the slide and the main body and checking the tracks for being gummed up... no, sorry

We had a slide do something similar. Not sure what kind of slide you have but the one we have is a power gear slide with a center drive assembly. On ours it got kind of sideways and mAde a popping sound. Long story short, They found the slide mechanism was moving independently of the slide out due to sheared hardware at the floor. The tech resecured the slide actuator assembly back to the floor with more substantial hardware. They discovered that the wiring connection to the motor came loose when the slide mechanism had pulled away from the floor. The tech reinstalled the wiring so that it is now located in an area that it won't get pinched.

What type of slide do you have. I have seen some problems mention with the lippert slides with the chain system.
