I have a 2006 Crossroad Cruiser CF29RE. The vinyl on the ceiling panels is pushed from under the batten strips causing a big wrinkle of vinyl alongside the batten. On several battens it is only on one side. I removed one batten and discovered that the vinyl covered ceiling panel was only stapled every 18 inches on the wrinkled side. The opposite side was stapled every 6 inches. Has anyone experienced this type of problem and what is the best way to fix it?

Don't know about securing the ceiling panels but if you can do that and then replace batten stips with a wider batten to cover up the wrinkle. That is if the wrinkle doesn't run far from the batten.

Crossroads has a trim wood to replace the batten and thereby cover the wrinkle.

The part number is 205754 it is 1 5/8'' wide and the color is white.

I had one place with a wrinkle in a new 2011. The dealer replaced all the batten, so they would match, on warranty. The trailer was brand new and the fix was agreed to on purchase.

They did the work with the parts and procedure as directed by Crossoads.

Larry,

Thanks for the reply. Crossroads was kind enough to send me a new set of 3 inch battens to install after I secure the ceiling panels. That was pretty nice of them considering that I am the second owner and it's out of warranty. I have not yet done the work but expect to get it done in couple of weeks.

Maybe I'll see you in Winfield next Sept.

I have that problem also - just about every panel. I attempted to fix by removing the trim and re-glue the panel edge. It did not hold very long and the wrinkles are back. I did not notice any staples on mine - just glue.

Does Crossroads specify how to re-connect the vinyl to the paneling before installing the new wider trim?

How would I get a hold of Crossroads to ask about the trim?

I would call Angie at 1-855-226-7496 ext 449. She has been a great help to me.

Are your wood panels with the vynal coveringglued to the ceiling joist? I have only looked at one seam on mine but the wood panel appeared to be stapled. Of course the vynalcovering has a sticky backside to hold it to the wood. My guess is that by securing the wood panels to theceiling joists it will stop the vibration/movement which causes the wrinkles. Thenthe wider batten I install will cover the damaged edges where the vynal covering has wrinkled. I'll know more when I tear into it next week.

Ok, ours has the same problem...does anyone know if the contact person is the same as it was in 2012? And are these 1.5" or 3" ? Do these nail up or fit in a groove? If I got something locally not sure if it could be attached...

Mine is doing fine....knock on wood. Actually my rig has been very reliable over the years. ALL the original appliances are still working, no leaks, slides work great, etc. Only thing has been the cabinet doors have started to separate at the joints. I usually have to fix 2-3 per Spring. I believe it's the humidity of the NW over the winters.

OK this sounded like a good suggestion to call Crossroards...I did, spoke to Thomas Woodiel. He told me that Crossroads does not ship directly to people and that I would have to deal with a dealer. Hmmm is this a new rule? Was just wondering what you think...

I discovered that quite some time ago. You can no longer order parts direct from CR. The dealers take a nice mark-up. I wonder what other Mfg's do?

They'll ship you some parts, but not others. They sent me a light bar last year no question asked.

Was your light bar covered by warranty? They shipped me under warranty but then would not when I had a request after it had expired.

Items easily self repaired and replacements like the LED light bar or sink handle. I've asked about about cabinet shelves and a new wall panel and they told me to go to the dealer.
