Hi there

owner of a 2012 GT25RL

Was a little shocked to discover that none of the outlets work on battery back up. We are new to this whole camping thing! Really wish that it had been told to us before we bought the trailer, would of looked for a trailer that had that option, or is it even a option on TT's???

Is there a way we can use the battery back up, to run a plug? Places we plan on camping at wont let us run generators at night, and in Mid summer it sure can get hot in there quick. Would love to be able to run a fan.

Thanks
C.

You will need to purchase an inverter. Just make sure you have enough battery power to last for the time you will be using it, or a means of recharging your battery/batteries.

An inverter will plug into any 12 volt outlet. They resemble lighter plugs.

I don't know which size plug you have in the storage compartment ( there are 2 sizes) that I am aware of. One you can plug 12v tv into the other you can plug a small inverter into. Like the one you would plug into the cigarette liter in your vehicle. These are usually small wattage. You can also get one that wires direct to battery bank that will supply more wattage. Just remember, the more you draw from the battery/batteries, the faster they are drained. I have one we carry for charging the cell phone/computer when we travel or when we are dry camping for an extended period and don't have electricity. I think it's rated at 150 watts. One that size would more then likely run a small fan. (It runs my fillet knife)
