Locking fresh water fill

Hi all, have a 2011 CTX 26 with just the screw on cap for the fresh water fill out in the open, been thinking about getting a locking door for it, just a little more security. Wondered how others have dealt with this problem. The Bargman 60 30 002 looks like a possibility........

Never had a locking cap on either of our campers for the fresh water. Don't think we will get one now either, but if you will feel safer with the lock, get it...

I put one of the locking door on over my water fill. It was in storage and wanted peace of mind that someone would not put something in the water tank. I was more worried about some one just walking by so I did not change the locks out. It was a very easy mod for my 05 PP.

I guess if you park your RV in storage away from your house it makes sense to lock your water fill and change out the compartment locks. Gives you peace of mind.

Actually, it is at the house, we typically don't do organized RV parks with hook ups, dry camp a lot so we want a little more security........

landing gear switch and water inlet security

IMHO:
We live in a great neighborhood but kids are kids and trouble travels everywhere.
While parked at home near the garage and back alley there are children having fun day and night. Kids are curious and just might drop something in to a tank or push that landing gear switch just to see what happens; not thinking of damaging the RV or others. Now the local window peeper or the guy we caught peeing on the side of the neighbor’s garage might be a different story.
While at camp it’s the same story. There a many seasonal jobs and a very few are filled by folks with troubled pasts.
So, we’ll take a proactive position. It’s like insurance. We are spending a few dollars now to prevent having a future headache.
