Can I stand on roof

Own a 2013 Sunset Trail Reserve 30re. Can anyone tell me if these newer travel trailers (mine has a barreled/curved roof) are they made to support a adult person standing on them? If so what is the weight limit?

I ask this just in case I need to crawl up there to fix something.

Based on information I have seen, if there is a ladder attached to your trailer, you can walk on the roof. If there is no ladder, then you need to be very careful. You can use a board to move around and stand on, to distribute the weight.

Others may have more to add.

The roof on these ultra light trailers were not designed with walk on roofs. That being said. I am up on mine at least six times a year cleaning or checking the sealant and repairing as necessary. if you stay on the trusses, or use a piece of wood to bridge the trusses you will be fine. routine maintenance needs to be done, just use caution.

I agree! Minimal walking on the roof is best. IF you have to walk on the roof, step on the trusses or use a piece of plywood with carpet as previously suggested.

Having owned a 2011 Sunset Trail Reserve 30RE I heartily agree with the above recommendation.
