Had an issue first trip this year as slide was going out crooked. Did the bypass at the controller then slide all the way out and all the way in to program the stops and no problem since.

Thanks for your post. Apparently, my entire slide mechanism has to be replaced. Guess I simply got a lemon.

my 2013 32rl is siting in my driveway right with two of the three slides not working. kitchen slide has been fixed several times already and stoped working again the second motor needs to be replaced the sofa slide only works if I have a couple of people to help push out and back in and all three slides leak in and when they are out the wiper seals are tore up from getting into the gears of the motors. this is my 8th rv and I have never seen anything like it why they kept selling these things knowing how bad the shwinteck slides are is beyond me.
such a nice designed interior its a shame its built so half ass. there were two sunset trail reserves at the central Illinois rally and both of us had our kitchen slides break, two for two.

Thanks for your post. Interesting stuff!
Our 30RE is still under warranty, so that helps with our current problem.... the slide. Have had axel problems, plumbing problems, locked door problems, and a smell in the pop-up TV area since we bought it in 2013. We love the RV, but the continual problems are certainly a concern. Sunset Trails are certainly beautiful, but obviously very poorly built. Seems like we simply got a lemon.

I have a st27bh been in shop for ever. My slide out has been leaking. Had it in several times. They adjusted tracks replaced seals and now found out that the walls are not square. Dealer had to send pictures to crossroads.. All the problems with this unit are to many to mention. Hope you get yours straightened out soon JW/CW

I had a topper put on mine right away . makes it easy when you put slide in as you don't have to clean tree debris off the top of slide (twigs etc. might mess up rubber seals and accentuate leaks..)

my large dinette, couch slide roof is bowed in almost 2 inches in the middle i have had to fabricate a beam in the middle to keep it semi straight. not to mention my floor in the living and dinning room is separating and starting to crack the vinyl flooring They seem to have forgotten to use tong and groove boards, and I have a bent axle.

Ask them if that is going to totally take care of the problem, or, is there going to be issues cropping up later on if it isn't fixed right now.
It nice to have the slide out topper, but if it's just a band aid approach that wouldn't be to good.

slide out problem

Lyod i agree with you. I cant afford to have any more leaks.. We bought this camper because it was on my wifes bucket list. She went through 2 bouts of breast cancer and her immune system is very low. Cant have mold growing in slide out. We both enjoy camping but this has put a damper on her enjoyment. It is a shame they can't get any kind of quality control..

Yup, every manufacture has the same issues. Too bad you got stuck with a lemon. From what I see on other forums doesn't matter if it says, Crossroads, Forest River, or "fill in the blank." They ALL pop out a lemon now and then.
From personal experience "Been there in the same situation with my previous Monoco brand 5er."

The day I purchased my 34RK, it had sofa/dinette slide problems Left it at Camping world-they have replaced both slide motors & cables. They SAY the slide is working now. Guess we will find out when we go back down to Myrtle in Jan.

Also, had them add slide awnings while it was there.

Slide slow

I have a 2013 Crossroads 28bh and the big slide is very slow, like it
would get stuck anytime. Have put silicone spray on rubber but still the same. Slide is parallel and I always go out or in till it reaches end of travel
Any one solved this problem?

Greetings, Harold

Have you lubricated the mechanism below the slide from the outside??

Check out video on this site. http://www.protectall.com/sollong.aspx
