Joe You are welcome to switch sites with me if my site is open Monday the 17th. I'm in site #49. That way you could stay the extra night and we would still be right across the road from Nancy and Tony.

So it looks like no-one else at my work is requesting off that weekend, DH is still finding out about his work requests for that weekend. If his work schedule is good, we are going to put official requests in and come on up.

Stan, Jeannie & I will be missing the fall rally this year. We are heading back to Gettysburg for the weekend to take the ghost tours. That is the only weekend that other family members are able to attend. Linda did email me this morning. That is a GREAT discount your getting. We will shoot for next years fall rally. Hope you all have a great time and safe trip there. Randy

We are gonna come! We just booked, we will be in site E-47 andwill be arriving later in the day on Thurs 10/13 and leaving Sun morning 10/16. They were really confused when I called but they finally figured it out. It also sounds like I got the last available site. He said it looked like I was getting the last unpaid for site in the group. So what should I bring and how many meals do I need to plan to bring something for? Do people usually bring a side to one meal and a main course the other or how does this work? Sorry for all the questions but as a newbie to camping, I have never been to a rally before.

Anaro..looking forward to you joining the bunch...Since you are arriving on Thursday...we generally have a pot luck breakfast at someones site..usually decided Thursday afternoon...we will gather all the tables to one site for the whole group and 2 or 3 bring their grills to that site as well...you should bring enough for your family and some extra...we generally have breakfast together each morning, so prepare a dish to share for 3 breakfast and 2 dinners..all are pot luck...members will start posting what they will be bringing to share as it gets closer....lunches are generally on your own due to most members touring the area or shopping during the day...Rick and I plan to be smoking something to share with everyone...last time Rick smoked a 16 lb turkey to share..Saturdsay night is generally a candlelight dinner with wine beer ..etc...everyone together...at Gettysburg we had like 30+ people at the dinner...so just come and be prepared to meet fellow campers, make friends, share stories and enjoy a great weekend....again...welcome to the bunch!!

Ok thanks for the warm welcome. We look forward to coming, it will be myself, DH, our 4 yr old DD and our dog. See everyone in October!

ps- we did use your name stan but we talked to a guy who was a little clueless about it but then kinda figured it out. Initially he was asking me about confirmation # and such, I told him I thought you had done a block on sites similar to a block of rooms at a hotel for a function. After about 5 minutes of various attempts he got it but made it sound like there are no more sites on hold.

Joe

Your welcome, always willing to help out if I can. I'll drink to cooler weather. We went to Washington DC recently and didn't get to see a lot of the stuff we wanted to see because of the weather.

Steve

I thought that Tony and Nancy had site #50. Nancy sent me an e-mail a while ago and said they were going to attend in Oct.They got in a bad accident after Gettysburg and their truck was totaled. Tony needed surgery on his knee and shoulder. Maybe they had to cancel.
