Furnace not working

Our furnace is not working. It is blowing cold air and shuts off after about a minute. We got our propane tanks filled and hooked them back up. What do you think could be wrong and what should we try to do to fix it? Our Cruiser is a year + one month old.

Make sure the tank valve is open. Start the stove burners to make sure gas in flowing through the lines. If you still have a problem, Here's a link that may help you.

If the sail switch doesn't close then the gas valve will not operate. Maybe the sail switch is stuck or too little air flow on the intake side due to spider webs, etc. I'm not sure if the DSI spark is also controlled by the sail switch, but if you hear it sparking but the burner doesn't fire up, then again no gas or the spark needed to be adjusted or cleaned.

safety shut off?

If there was any call for gas when the newly filled tanks were put on line then the new propane safety valve at the tank will shut off the propane flow. I’d make sure that every gas appliance and pilots are off; turn off and disconnect all tanks; wait 2 minutes and reconnect and turn on the tanks.

^^ What Larry said. This has actually burned me before. In my case, the way my Blue Ridge was wired, the battery disconnect actually isolated the blower fan from the inverter. It never crossed my mind that the disconnect being open would cause any problems since I was connected to park power. However, as the fan would drag the battery down, the fan speed would decrease to the point that the sail switch was breaking, which prevented the furnace from firing. It took two trips back to the dealer and them not finding a problem before a guy over on the Forest River Forum explained to me what he thought the problem was. He was correct, and I never had another problem with it.

the furnace has a "sail switch" it senses the blower and 99% of the time there is debris holding it from moving. Saw dust etc. sometimes a hard rap on the furnace will work. If you have the large outside door on the furnace this model is easy to service and get to the switch in the blower housing. If it has a small silver plate then its a pain to remove and clean
