Question Bedroom slide problem

The bed slide has worked perfectly, until today. It is the Schwintek system.
Pushing the in out button on the control panel does not activate the slide. So I was contemplating what to do. I grabbed the remote to see if that would work and it did.
Is it possible the control button went bad already??
Any suggestions gladly accepted.

Take the panel off and make sure wires still connected?

It kinda sounds like a control button problem if the slide is moving easily and correctly with the remote.

Hope Tim found the easy fix for you. Probably loose wire or bad contact in switch.

also check the remote panel ,which is possibly under your fridge on the floor. mine is there but yours is probably somewhere near there.

UPDATE

Took off panel and reinstalled the wire connectors on switch. It works fine now. Thankfully an easy fix.
Thanks for all the help.

Let see if I understand correctly....You have a remote for operating your slide?? I appreciate a remote to change TV channels, adjust volume, etc but I can handle standing pushing the button long enough to operate the slide. I guess on the rare, rare occasion I needed to extend the slide and did not have someone, (read DW) to watch clearance when needed, I might like having the remote, but overall I would rather see money the go to up-grading some of the crap used to build RV's!

The remote, if similar to mine, also operates the 4 stabilizer jacks, the porch light, and the awning. Don't see the need to remotely operate the latter two, but it does come in handy with the stab jacks ( no need to kneel or bend over to reach the switches). Don't think the remote comes with the more recent models.

Actually the remote operates all slides, awning, rear stabilizers and outside light. Very handy. I do not use it for the slides, always looking on the inside for clearance. But in this case, I would not be without it!

They are not installing remotes for slides and stabilizers anymore as there were alot of warranty problems with them , at least on the sunset trail reserves that is.

Glad to here that the problem was found and corrected.

The switch for our bed slide is in the bath room - right below the bathroom light switch. Not a good locations. Put a night light in the bathroom so it does not get actuated by accident at night. We have the remote too - have only used it a couple of times.

Mark
Sound like Aileen & Tim had it right... I too have the remote and find it comes in handy at times, but I don't use it every time I set up or break down...

We just got back from music festival. The guy beside us had a late model Montana and his remote worked the slides and the jacks!

Mark- I have just the opposite problem, I have one slide that works with the rocker switch on the panel but not with the remote! Go figure.
