I think the whole warranty/dealer/manufacturer relationship is crazy. The bad dealers give the good ones a bad name, and to have to go to the end of the line for warranty work at a dealer you didn't purchase from doesn't make any sense in a mobile society. Getting great service at the manufacturers site during a rally is fine if you live reasonably close and could purchase directly from the manufacturer.

John Boy, the 270bh doesn't have two grey tanks, am I missing something?

On their web page they list---Gray / Galley Water: 80
Which I interpret as, two 40 gal. tanks. One for the galley and one for the shower.
I don't know of any crossroads entry level unit with one 80 gal tank.

If there was a 80 gallon tank, and I'm sure there is not, the weight of the full tank would be around 864 lbs. Way to heavy for the way rv's support their tanks.

The problem I've had is finding a system that doesn't interfere with the tonneu.
Honestly, I built that out of 2x4 and works great. I do have to remove my cover including rails as the rails cover the steak holes. I only use it when we also want to take bikes as I can then put them in the back too. If we are not taking bikes then I don't use it as I found I can just throw the kayaks in hanging over closed tailgate, strap them down and they don't interfere with front cap when turning. I have no experience with the racks you mention, but would be interested in what you come up with.
