Stuck Slide

Long story, short. Camping World had our Jefferson unit because the wardrobe
slide was stuck out about a foot. While fixing that CW decided to check the other three slides. When they let the kitchen slide(stove, fridge) out, a piece of something broke off, so now they have to order parts. Service dept. said they caught hell trying to get the slide to go back in. They tell us you can't use that slide. We are full timers, I need that slide to go out. Does anyone have any ideas.

If you are in a serious pickle with this issue, the fastest and surest way to get it fixed would be to make an appointment with the Crossroads factory in Topeka, Indiana. They do not have to order parts, only to have the wrong ones come in.

Shipshewana South campground is nearby (about 15 minutes north), and the area is a tourist destination. There is the RV/MH Hall of fame in Elkhart, and the area has a high Amish population.

If you cannot get things fixed quickly at a dealership, then this might be an option for you. The people at the factory service center are very good.

Plainville Texas is about 1250 miles to Topeka Indianna. Don"t know your plans or restrictions but if you are full time and still under warranty it may be worth the trip to get it done correctly.

I hope your Camping World can fix it asap. I would call Crossroads myself and explain your situation. Maybe they can expedite the repair parts.
If it is a Lippert slide, call them. They might have a service garage near where you are.

I think Camping World to a small problem and turned it into a
Giant molehill. I was setting RV up alone, as have done many times.
I waited till husband and a friend got home. We got the slide out, seems
to be a timing issue, the end with the fridge is moving twice as
fast as the couch end and this causes it to wedge up.husband thinks
it's a simple fix, I hope so.

Sounds like the good old SCHWINTEK IN-WALL SLIDE System. There has to be an issue with the slide for it to get out of synch. Get on a conference call with CrossRoads and Camping World. Took us 2 months to get a slide rebuilt - I was communicating directly with CrossRoads.

If it is a Schwintek slide which is out of sync (these puppies have two motors which need to be in sync), then there is a system to fix that which involves finding the control panel and pushing a certain button a certain number of times. Like Bob & Pat said, call Crossroads. They talked us through it when it happened to us.

If is is not a Schwintek slide, then you have a whole other problem.

We have 1 2014 Rushmore Franklin (yes its a Schwintek) and have a similar problem with the bedroom drivers side slide. Goes out fine, but coming in, for some reason the front of the slide is out about 3 inches at the front from full close. Like mentioned by others, find the control unit, push the button six times, hold the 7th till the light blinks then go inside and push the in button to close it. The dealer has now suggested/ordered a new control panel, will see how that works when it is installed.

There is also a retiming proceedure. Watch the Lippert videos and hold the button 3 to 5 seconds once full extended and retracted to keep slide motors in synch
