interior lights
I have a question regarding interior lights. First, how do you tell if the bulbs in the fixtures are LED or incandescent? We have several ceiling pot lights that I know are LED, but we have a bunch of other fixtures with little bulbs in them that we are not sure of.
Second, the light in the stove hood fan is very weak and we wonder if anyone has successfully addressed this issue.
Looking online at LED (replacement) lights, there are so many different kinds it is all very confusing!

If you have the pancake fixtures they generally have 921 incandescent bulbs in them. Generally you can see the element in an incandescent bulb and the LED units have several visible LED's attached to a circuit board. I have attached a picture of a 921 bulb and a 921 LED equivalent.

Good info from by MEHoffman. I replaced microwave light with an LED to answer you second question.

Would that also work for the light in the stove hood?

Heck I did not even see the part about the stove hood in the original post. I did replace the lamp in mine with a bright white LED sold in a six pack at Camping World. Six pack LED That made a marked improvement over the incandescent 921.

Someone posted earlier on another thread that the LED replacement lights are difficult to install unless you use electrical grease. Obviously you need the conductive stuff, not the dielectric kind. Any idea where this can be purchased? So far I have not been able to find it in any store around here.
We have not yet purchased the LED replacement bulbs, we may wait till we get to Florida for that, but we have another use for it. We have a key-less entry to our trailer, a combination lock which works electrically. The contacts get corroded from time to time and we figure electrical grease may protect them.

Have not had an issue with led installation. Check electrical supply house for your lubricant.
