I think I saw most of the tips I would give mentioned already, except for chucking. Watch the speed on washboard pavement and especially on bridges where the surface may be uneven with the road. Hit one of those at about 65 and it can get fun in a hurry. The air bags made a big difference on my truck, but I still let off of the accelerator when I approach a bridge. If you do start experiencing chucking, don't panic, just let off the accelerator until it smooths out.

This is the first I have ever heard a dealer letting you "test drive" a camper for the weekend. Like others have said you might as well plan on keeping it I'm sure you will like it. I have been through that model and thought it was very nice.

What I did some years back and about every 2-3 years, is go to a TS and get a Trucker's Atlas. It has a lot of good info within the pages that will be useful to you. Such as, the roads with low clearances for example. Sure it is costly but well worth it.

The only thing I can add is that I purchased a Master Lock for my hitch. That way when you stop at a rest area or hook it up the night before no one can come and release your pin on you. Others on here have spoken to that happening so it is the one thing I would do for sure. I bought two keyed alike, the other one being for my voltage regulator.

Travel well, travel safe.
