So we took our TT out for its first real outting over the weekend! It was almost perfect! I found out that our black and grey water tanks were labled backwards. No big deal hopefully can just get some new stickers and easy fix! I also found that our A/C would not work. Not sure why. I was watching the Surge Gaurd and we had 120v and using 3 amps. When I turn on the A/C the fan comes on then the A/C and amps rise slowly to 33 amps and the A/C shuts off. I turned off everything in the TT and same thing. Any ideas? I have a call into the dealer.

Thanks,

Rob

oooh...backwards label not good. Hope you questioned it because the pipe size was smaller for the black (versus pulling the handle!).

Not sure on A/C...I do know our compressor kicks on fairly quickly (not a gradual rise in amps)...so maybe it is something to do with that.Let the dealer earn his keep. Hope you get a quick response.

Nope pulled the handle. There really wasnt anything in the black tank! All I can see are the handles. Oh and a label that aparently is incorrect. I just could not figure out why the grey water level would not change.

As far as the A/C the dealer thinks that the park being so packed the power supply may not have been enough to power the A/C. I am going to take it to them Sat. after work and they are going to check it out.

I do seem to recall hearing something about power issues like that. Is that true? I have a 30 Amp service. Would it have changed if I used the 50 amp adapter and tried to run the power from the 50 amp service? Maybe less people using the 50 amp service?

Low voltage in the campground can be a common problem in older places on busy weekends. A voltmeter in the camper is a good idea to see what it is doing under load. Cheap way to prevent burning up the AC motor.

I have the portable surge gaurd that I plug into the poll first then plug in the camper. It has the LCD read out that tells me the volts and amps. Would that notdo the same thing? I went out and checked the reading and it indicated that I had 120V and was using 3amps.
