Frank,
I never thought I'd be able to make one of these but we're wintering in Weslaco, TX and were originally planning to head back north through Dallas on March 1st. Today the wife says, "how about we head toward Louisiana and then on to Gulf Shores for a few weeks then up through Alabama toward Kentucky and Tennessee. So, I will discuss this with her and look at where Poches is and see if we cannot squeeze this into our plans. We've done the Factory Rally 3 years in a row and meet and make new friends every year, so maybe we can make some more "new" friends. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks,
Travel well, travel safe,
Jim

All I can say is if you make one of these gatherings be really hungry because you are going to see and eat more good food that you can believe. We got there Thur afternoon figuring on everybody being on their own. Nope, Mr Ray make a big pot of soup and it was poured over rice. That was Thur nite. Breakfast Fri morn and then to a brewery tour. Finished abt noon and went to the "Little Big Cup" restaurant and stuffed some more. Fri nite was another feast. Same for Sat morn, noon was everybody for them self on the leftovers and then the big meal Sat nite while watching the LSU Tigers play Ole Miss.

I need to give this some serious consideration. Looks like about 7 to 8 hour drive for us.

Google maps puts it at 504 miles, 7hr and 30 minutes drive time. Probably closer to 9 hrs on the road with stops, etc. Still, I have driven from home to Lake Charles (Sam Houston Jones State Park) in one day more than once. It's doable.

This is the one that I am always interested in. Sounds like a good time, food, and weather.

We are about 3 hrs to Memphis. 9 to 10 hrs total is what I figured. We almost went this past summer but work and life got in the way. I can't plan now for this but will have a better idea as it gets closer. Does Pooches actually fill up at that time if not reserved well in advance? Sounds like great fun and food and would like to meet everyone.
