Would like to check the caulk and sealants around roof vents, windows, etc. What is a good caulk or sealant to use if I need to replace any? I'd like to use something that could be bought at the local Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.
Thanks

This may be over kill, others may know more, but when we purchased our camper we bought the "ALPHA SYSTEMS HIGH SOLIDS SELF-LEVELING SEALANT"... that's the name on the tube.

If your adding any sealant around the roof and the roof is rubber do not use any silicone. You might want to wait until you can go to a camping store instead of a local building supply store. It is better to be safe than sorry. On the roof, you need to use self leveling sealant for epdm roofs (there are a couple of different kinds that would be sufficient. You can be less picky on the window sealant but I would find something that will not mold and will adhere to fiberglass.

I guess I'll be looking for DICOR. Can that be used around the windows, etc.?
Thanks for the replies.

JWN, I use Dicor self leveling on the roof and 3M white silicon caulk on the rest of the trailer. Just make sure you remove any cracked or dirty caulk before you put the new on. I get the 3M stuff at Lowes or HD.
