Question Crossroads heater trouble

I have A 2006 crossroads fifth wheel cruiser. The heater does not work. Can someone give me some tips on how to fix this myself?

Is the blower blowing ? Are getting a cool air flow? Or is it not turning at all?

Yes, the blower is working, but a cool air flow is all we get. The thermostat seems to be working too

Battery charged or TT plugged in? Thermostat set to heat or furnace not fan? Just thinking of the obvious. Quick search found this. Hope it helps.

Fan runs but no heat.

If your furnace fan starts you can assume that the thermostat is working.
Possible problems are insufficient air flow through the furnace a bad propane valve at the furnace or a bad regulator at the propane tank.
A furnace contains an internal sail switch, that senses the air flow. If the air flow is not sufficient then the switch will prevent the furnace from igniting and the fan will run but you will get no heat. A slow motor speed could be caused by a low battery or other low voltage cause such as a bad connection in the wiring.
Low air flow could also be caused by a restriction in the ventilation system. Check to see if any heat registers are closed or blocked. Some furnaces will not tolerate even a partial closure of a heat register. .
If you have an electronic ignition check to see if the two contacts are touching or are too far apart. They should be about 1/8 apart.

I followed these instructions, but the blower turns off after about 2 minutes... Never stays on for 5 minutes!

Here's a link to a manual that might help you.
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...M2na7YNfGcWSuQ

download the manual and then you can save, print or refer to it anyway you want to.

I had a very similar issue with my heater in my previous motorhome. After verifying that thermostat was sending proper signals to heater controls, I removed the heater so I could check it on my work bench. After checking sail switch, gas valves, etc. (which all checked OK), I started looking at the gas inlet line and found a "dried mud" looking substance in the fitting that connects to the line from the propane tank. I cleaned this out, reinstalled and heater worked great. I guess you can pick up trash in your propane....

I don't think so. It was in the sealed propane line.

I had a similar problem with a different 5ver. Changed the thermostat, still had the problem. It turned out to be a 'ground' wire running from thermostat to heater. Dealer ran new wire, no more problem.

On ours right inside the RA vent on the furnace and you should see a little round disc on the furnace. That is a high temperature limit. They are supposed to reset automatically but mine did not. I just took it off and pushed in on it and it was OK. What did it was we had a couple of throw rugs over vents and forgot to move them.
