Did that rough weather go thru your area? It sure looked like it on tv.

Rain hard here, took three hours to drive 60 miles. The real bad one hit 50 miles south of here

Was wondering about y'all watching the weather map on the news last night. Glad to hear things are O.K. Joyce is getting a lot of use out of her snowblower

Yup! Was out roughly a month to the usual suspects...Tombstone, Tucson, Borrego Springs, CA and back. Good times, good golf. One interesting facet..got trapped for a day and a half in the Catalina State Park near Tucson when a flash flood covered the in/out road. No problem, had plenty of Shiner. Now, where do Joyce and I go this year on our Spring trip? Time to start planning. Wish we were going to be in Breaux Bridge this week, but maybe for the Crawfish Festival first weekend in May? You got any plans?

Sounds like you were able to soak up a little sun shine. That's good.
When are you going to change that -camp driveway pic?
We don't have anything concrete in the works, other then way this coming fall. I suppose we will sneak in a few short runs this summer, that is if summer ever gets here.

Plan on changing the pic when I get a good one of the new rig from the spring trip. Might also include one of the truck, now a year old, which I owe you. Did I tell you I belong to the local procrastinators club?

Russ, I suppose you are feeling pretty sad that you missed that last blast of snow in the high country.
Probably even feeling a little guilty??

Sad? Nope. Guilty? Uh-uh. 84 degrees at our present location and our neighbors at home say don't come back...yet!

Russ, are you back in the high country now?
If so, is the snow melted?
How was the trip with the new rig?

Hey Lloyd!

Back home about 3 weeks now. Snow's finally gone after getting 50 inches in May alone. That's why we stayed out longer than usual, plus we had no real plan and just moved to where the feelin' took us. Hill Country was spectacular with wildflowers, better than at the last Texas Rally. Made the turn at Grand Isle, LA after greatly enjoying the Crawfish Festival in Breau Bridge (2nd time). Dodged the heavy weather so as to not get too wet! Had to hole up a couple times such as missing the big stuff around Houston. New rig's a mixed bag. Floor plan's great for us but it's going back for the third warranty session next week with 13 new items to address. Many times wished we had the Sunset Trail back with its lack of problems. Still say '08 was a good build year for Crossroads. Oh well, third time's the charm with the new Canyon Trail? Hope so!

Sounds like you guys had a nice outing. Lots of miles and good scenery.
I have to agree with you on 2008 being a good year for CR products. I will knock on wood saying this, but ours has been pretty much trouble free. Just have to do the routine maintenance.
I have thought of updating, but then there are a couple things that always come to mind that stops me.
1. All the mods I have on this one and it just does what everyone hopes for in a camper.

2. A new Rushmore or Redwood won't fit in my building. I didn't build it high enough, and I refuse to rent storage or leave it outside.

3. Then the truck issue pops up. I'm not sure if my Eco- Boost could handle either one of those rigs.

Have a good summer Russ.

Understand your situation. Got it just the way you like it.

On another note, I've become a 5er junkie now with two of them. Traded the Cougar 21RBS for a Fox Mountain 235RLS by Northwoods. I'm heading out tomorrow for the Montrose area (thinking of you Frank) for the shakedown trip. Bought it from a small family owned dealership in Pueblo who did the most amazing and thorough PDI I've ever experienced. That's another story.

Hey Frank I always snoop this thread to see what you RV vets are up to.
Sorry to hear you need nerve blockage. On a good note a cousin of mine had that treatment and she is finally out of pain. She now enjoys normal activity.
