Edmonton, Saskatoon,Regina??

So with the suggestions of many our trip will have us in Jasper CA for three nights. Now I need to work our way home to Minnesota. A 3 day drive would be nice. But where to stay?
Edmonton for a night? Any suggestions,
Same for Saskatoon? Or anyplace in between that would divvy up the drive. Our last night would like to be around the Winnipeg area as that would leave one days drive home.
To everyone who has given suggestions so far...Thanks!

How long of a drive are you looking for each day? I live in edmonton and would not recommend staying in edmonton for a nice campground, but there are plenty in the area within a hour or 2 drive from etown.

Just drive and stop whenever you feel like stopping . I never had trouble finding a campground with out having reservations..relax , its a vacation.

Jaspar to Saskatoon - about 9 hours.
Saskatoon to Winnipeg - about 9 hours.

A couple long days depending on mileage you like to put on each day.

No significant points of interest in between Jaspar and Winnipeg and the campgrounds are a bit limited as you are away from the major lake/vacation destinations while traveling on Highway 16.

You can usually easily find campgrounds along this route but best to have a list with you that has phone numbers for ones located at different places along the highway so you can call ahead to confirm if you don't pre book.
