Just bought a 2015 28SE

We just ordered a CruiseAire 28SE. We have been camping with various different units since 1973, but this is our first 5th wheel. Thought we would join this forum to pick up some hints about the unit.

Good luck with the new rv.

On ours the valves are behind the hot water heater. I blow out the water system with 60 lb air. Pressurize the lines and then open the drain valves until no more water comes out. Then add pink stuff (RV antifreeze) via the pump.

Our water pump has a winterizing valve and hose.

I only use air because I have a pancake style compressor thatr I use for my truck and trailer tires and truck air bags. If I did not have air I would only use the RV antifreeze. Always add via the pump - not the RV tank.

Ensure all of the tanks are empty - pour antifreeze down the drains and then I drain the tanks again. I leave the drain valves open.

I leave the drain cap on the water tank and hot water tank off during the winter too.

Last but not least - don't forget the shower hose - just about forgot last year.

Peter, the hot water bypass is behind the grate (cold air return) below the kitchen sink. You have to take off the grate by unscrewing it. The anti-freeze hose is in the end table between the chairs in the back. Again you have to unscrew the cover. Just follow the loose white hose until you find the valve. Turn the valve, stick hose in anti freeze and you are good to go. Don't forget to do the outside shower last. There are lots of threads to tell how to do it. I'm just giving you location of stuff.
