New to us 30SK

We just bought an 08 30 SK, really liked the floor plan and the holding tank arrangement. It's also one of the lightest units for all of the space and great basement storage. We traveled 2k miles from CO to NJ to pick it up and had no issues on the way back. Since it has the stock tires ST225-75R-15 8 ply we kept it under 65 MPH these tires are only rated for 62 MPH. They show no adverse wear in the 2k miles we traveled back to our home. We spent 3 weeks on the way back as well seeing some eastern US American history. So far we love the new to us 5er. Our last trailer was a 2000 Cedar Creek 30 ft tongue pull. Really like the 5th wheel control while towing but it did take a bit of getting used to the turning differences. I bumped a couple curbs with it but I'm getting better.

Welcome and best of luck with your "new" rv. Must be in great shape for you to travel that distance to pick it up. At least you got to see what some of us Easterners take for granted.

Welcome aboard. I think you'll be very happy with your purchase. I have an 07 30QB and we are very pleased with it. I've had it two seasons now and every time we take it out, everything works like it's supposed to. You can't beat the Cruisers of that vintage for the money.

Hey, thanks to all. Yea all is pretty good so far. Have a couple issues to take care of. The lower bedroom outer seal is torn and the city water check valve leaks when when there is no pump pressure on it. Should be pretty minor if I can find the slide seal. Really haven't looked yet but I'm sure with the responses I've gotten so far on this site that someone will be able to point me in the right direction. Check valve is not a problem. Oh, by the way the tires were new when I pick it up. Still in great shape except where I bumped the curb on a couple right turns. We did really enjoy the eastern history tour, part of the reason we were OK with looking that far away.
