Sola, you're missing the point, he alreaqdy has the 250...!!!

Chasworth, as stated before, it'll do the job...

Dale, I get about the same mpg's with my 373's...What kinda mpg's do you get on the highway without the 5er behind you?Do you use regular fuel? I haven't tried HiOctane yet. Wondering if it makes a difference?

Dale, I too would like to know what kind of gas mileage you're getting, not towing. With my 3.73's, I'm getting 14.5 to 15.5 around town. On the interstate at 70mph, a steady 14.5. On the two lane country roads at 55mph, my best is 16.6mpg. I would just like to know what kind of effect changing my R&P from 3..73 to 4.10 would have on my daily work comute.
Also, tomorrow's the day. I traveling to Jonesboro to get my first looks at the Cruisers. The wife and I are really excited!

On The Road and Chazworth-- I did an 800 mile round trip on I-10 while wintering down south to see my granddaughter. I had the cruise set on 75 mph. This was the first long trip without the trailer. I averaged right at 15 mpg using regular fuel. I have tried the mid-grade fuel a couple of times when towing, but honestly couldn't tell any difference in performance or mileage.

Chazworth welcome to the forum. the floor plans are very much a personal preferance id take lots of time considering how you will be using your camper and what suits your family best. I can tell you we had our hart set on a 29 ck for about 3 years untill a month before we purchased our 30sk i was looking at the 29 ck closed up and realized that with the slides closed i couldnt get to the fridge and we wanted to be able to pull in someware and have acess to everything without putting out the slides! Many states and citys allow you to pull in and get some sleep but even walmart at some locationsobject to having a slideout out. Technically if you happenpull in someware to catch some winks your rig needs to be ready to be moved i believe is how most of the rules are worded! I hope you find whats right for you and wel will see ya on the road!!!!

I usually tow at 95 - 100 km/hr = 55 - 60m/hr...

I usually drive at 110 - 120km/hr = 65 - 70m/hr...

Towing I get 10 - 12 mpg (Imp) = 12 X 4/5 = 9.6 mpg (US)

Highway I get 18 - 20 mpg (Imp) = 20 X 4/5 = 17 mpg (US)

The truck tows OK at higher speeds...I tow at a slower speed for fuel economy...

I just got back from the dealer in Jonesboro. To my absolute surprise, the DW preferred the 30SK over the 29RK. I too was wowed by the room in the 30SK. If my finances would have allowed, I probably would have brought it home!!!! I have to pay off one toy before buying another. My motorcycle will be paid off in August. I doubt that this unit will be on the lot that long.

That's ok, it's nice to have a factory fresh unit and in August they will be model year 2010.

We had an 05 CF28RL and sold it in 08. then purchased the 08 30SK. Love the floorplan because of the space and the separate enclosed bathroom. And I'm the cook in the family so the counter space is appreciated.

I had an 05 F-250 XLT crew cab long bed 3.73 5.4L V-8 gasser. It towed the 5er okay but when it was time to put the pedal to the metal, I was concerned about the crummy gas mileage and effort it took to get up to passing speed.

Fortunately I took the plunge and bought an 08 F-250 crew cab long bed 6.4L diesel 4x2.

I won't go back to gas. Of course the diesel price is somewhat higher but mileage is better.

When its time to pass another vehicle, it moves. Its a personal choice for sure.

BTW - I've been a member for awhile, but couldn't figure out how to move my old name to the new system.
