Sofa bed/Couch

We finally replaced the sofa bed couch with a Lazy Boy sleeper sofa. The original sofa sleeper only a twin bed and we wanted at least a full bed. We take friends and family with us and this sofa will work much better than an air mattress on the floor.

The original couch came out pretty easy. We removed the back and it went out the door with out any problems.

The lazy boy we purchased is the Diana Supreme Comfort Full Sleeper.
Overall : 37.00" H x 69.00" W x 37.50" D. It made it through the door going in vertical (the back does not come off). We had the Lazy Boy delivery men put it in the trailer with a little help from me (well worth the $50.00 delivery fee).

When we stay some place for more than 2 days we usually switch the location of the sofa and chairs so the clearance we lost between the dinette chairs and sofa won't be a problem.

Glad we made the purchase. My wife likes the color - not to much dark brown in the trailer now. It is much more comfortable to sit on and should be better for those that sleep on it too.

The information posted by sleepyT (Rosie & Tommy) helped us with the purchase and decision.

Great minds think alike!

I had concerns getting it in the trailer - glad the delivery folks put it in.

Are you heading to Yellowstone for the summer again?

Bob
So glad you like your new sofa. We LOVE ours. Even though the sleeper is more comfortable than the original, when the grandkids would go with us we also put an AERO bed on top of the mattress for the EXTRA COMFORT. Easy to inflate easy to stow away. ENJOY

PS....thanks for the mention in your post.

Bob, bet you couldn't give away that excuse of a sleeper bed that came with the Rv.
Waiting to replace my piece of $#!+ sofa.... and recliners.

Yours, and Tommy's are real nice.

Oh I forgot to mention in my previous post.

What size door do you have on your RV. I measured mine and it is 28" wide. Checked out the couch like yours yesterday and really like it if it will go through the door. Thanks for the info.

If I remember correctly I am pretty sure ours measures 29 inches. I will have to take a walk down to the camper to make sure...

I think it will depend on just where everyone measures.

Mine measures 27 3/4 in the "opening". That's how much room you have going thru. The door is 28 in. and if you measure the outer flange, it will be over 29 in.

I was under the impression all the doors were standard, and all were considered 28 in.
Now I'm talking about the entry level RVs.

That couch looks real nice! We winter in Florida and our hide-a-bed is not very good at all. It does discourage our visitors from staying with us.

We also just bought a new hide a bed for ours,it is way better than the factory one.
we also got rid of the 2 leather chairs and put a full size sofa in the back.Way better now.
Its like a totally different unit now.I almost bought a rushmore because we could not stand those chairs.took up way to much room.
