I am having a problem with the cover sticking to the seal and cover not openng. I seem to remember a posting about this problem in one of the old forums, but can't seem to be able to figure out how to search them. I remember a comment about manufacturer offering a free kit to correct this problem. Any one with info please respond. Thanks as always for the help.

I have nothing to offer except that there is a seal kit with instructions from Fantastic. The company has a great history of good CS, so give them a call.

You can solve that issue on a temporary basis by using automotive grade silicone spray on a rag. Open the vent, spray some onto the rag and wipe the seals.

I contacted fantastic fan last summer and they sent me a kit to take care of the problem.
I believe mwebber78 is right on the silicone spray. I think that might be part of what they sent me. That is what I have used on my slide seals for years.

I always have to open manually the first time I use it for the weekend, and then it works great afterwards... Seems the heat and cold seals it down between uses. I figure this is a good sign as it does not leak. Lucky we only have one in the bedroom and I can reach it to open manually with no problems.

Dealer told me to put vaseline around the seal to take care of that.
