we ordered a 2012 cruiser and asked to get gelcoat sided. we paid an extra 500.00
for that option. new trailer came in and we looked at it today..guess what, no gelcoat sides!
went to the build your trailer website, and we cannot see gelcoat as an option
anyone know if gelcoat is or is not available?

thanks for any help

I hear alot of stories from dealers of trailers arriving not as orderded especially when there are special (extras) included in the order. I know for a fact my parents had to get new couches and blinds installed once their new Flagstaff arrived because the factory didnt install the correct ones.
When dealing with my Sunset trail the dealership orders all trailers exatly the same(fully loaded, same int/ext/options)so no trailers show up with stuff unexpected. Any extras you would like the dealership installs afterwards. Perhaps you can get the Gel coat done at the dealership, or third party?
BTW is the Gel Coat all it is cracked up to be? How does it hold up after 10 years? I usually polish/wax the trailer 2 times a year anyways.

You still should wax gel glass.
Benefits to me, glossy wet look and easier to clean.
I keep mine waxed and garaged and it still looks brand new after two years. 10 years, I would expect it to stay much the same. When the time comes to sell or trade, I am confident my $600 will be returned.
That being said, I have seen many well taken care of campers without gelglass and they looked great.
To me it is a personel preference.

CrossRoads Marketing - Gel Glass sidewalls are standard for the 2012 Cruiser Patriot/Provincial. Which line did you order?

well good news, the factory admitted they screwed the order up and will correct the probelm by building us a new camper. It says allot about this company and my dealer, Schieks in Eden WI. They are even getting it pushed up in the schedule so we can have it before end of May.

That's good news, it won't take long and you will have what you wanted.
Enjoy it when you recieve it.

That is great news!
If you think about it, ask them if the doors will be gelglass as well.
Mine were not and I would have paid more for them to be the same as the rest.
