Regarding point #5 swithcing to Dexter Axles from my research on this it appears this information is incorrect. Here is a e-mail from the factory supporting this:
Lastly, we use Lippert axles and have since I have been here in 2010, so the information about us switching to Dexter axles is not correct. </span> </span>Again, thanks for your time and your interest in the Sunset Trail!!</span> </span>John Fisher</span>National Sales Manager</span>Sunset Trail &amp; SlingShot</span>CrossRoads RV</span>305 Hawpatch Drive</span>Topeka</span>, IN 46571</span>Office - 1-888-226-7496 -X286</span>Fax - 260-593-0247</span>Cell - 260-579-0700</span>Email - jfisher@crossroadsrv.com</span>Website - www.crossroadsrv.com</span> </span>

Sean is correct. During our walk through of our new ST last Friday, the service tech from the dealership crawled under the trailer to see who made the axles. Yep, Lippert.

This is obviously different than what I was told during the factory tour. I'm sure, with all the components in a TT, it's hard for everyone (sales people) to keep track of all the vendors. Obviously, the engineers know though.

Also interesting was the lack of any documentation for the axle, wheels, brakes etc. in our owner's packet.

Until we have an issue with these axles, we're just planning to enjoy the crap out of our new vacation home. First 'trial' trip is this coming weekend.

Thanks Mike. I guess I won't see you there, as I always attend EAA Airventure in Oskhosh that weekend. Some day though!

Mike,
Perhaps and oversight, I'm not sure. I recieved a detailed package of the Lippert Axles and Brakes on my Cruiser. I received a manual for every working part in my trailer...I am happy I did, although it's an awful lot of reading LOL. But, this forum seems to be as much help as the manuals, which btw you can get on Lippert's website if you want them. Have fun on your first trip Mike.

Since I don't have a slide out, I wasn't particularly interested in the mechanics of them. They did show us one, but no details.

During the Rally last summer, during the factory tour, some folks asked some specific questions regarding the slide mechanics, perhaps one of those folks will reply to this thread.
