I HAVE A DOMETIC PATIO AWNING ON MY KINGSTON. MY PROBLEM IS: SOMEHOW THE FABRICHAS MOVED TO ONE END OF THE ROLLER. WE TRIED TO PULL IT BACK, BUT IT WOULDN'T MOVE. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Check where your awning is positioned in the rail on your camper sidewall. If it slid to the same end, open the awning but leave slack and then pull both ends into the center of the roller and wall track. You may need to get on a ladder and grab the awning near the wall track. The fabric shrinks and sometimes it starts to slide around. I added a couple of set screws in the wall track to keep the awning in place.

If this does not work, check to make sure your awning arms are the same length when full collapsed. If the stop bolt is missing, that too would cause it to not roll up straight.

If you get it back into the correct placement, make sure when you roll it up you place the strap towards the middle of the roller. If I roll mine up and the strap (the one you hang onto when rolling it up) is off to one side, the fabric tends to roll incorrectly.

THANKS FOR THE INFO. I HELD ON TO THE FABRIC AND PUSHED THE ROLLER , IT WENT EASILY INTO PLACE. I WILL PUT A SET SCREW IN THE RAIL TO KEEP IT FROM MOVING AGAIN. THANKS AGAIN.

When you put the set screw in the rail, make sure you have the awning squared up with it, or it will roll up crooked again. I know.
