Hey Rick, We are always looking for good places for parts. For those who have not been, there are a number of great surplus parts stores in the area and we will be making another guys day out to the shops before the rally starts.

My daughter was amazed that the buggy's will come right to the campground for ice cream.

It usually takes a couple of days, sometimes more depending on how busy he is.

You would have to call the campground directly for that question! However there is a large community fire pit we share in the evening. donation for the firewood is droped off at the box located near the firewood.Karen

Thansk for the replies everyone.

I got my email from Denny today and looks like we are on lot #16. So we wont be too far away for the kids to play Rees.

Yes kids activities sounds good they do have a large field there and maybe a water ballon fight is in order!

If anyone thinks of other activites for the kids maybe we can all figure out some more.

I have to laugh, I've been trying to call or shall I say remember to call the camp grounds to register for an early arrival for our site no. first the message would say to call on Mondays between 9 am -12 noon. So today I called to give my information, and there was a new message stating that this was the new year, reservations now will be taken on Thursdays morningsthrough Aprilinstead of Monday. Now I have to make a new note for this Thursday mornig to call!!!! Gosh Darn!!!!!

Hi all.

I haven't been too active on here recently, but we do hope that we can attend again this year. If we do, it will be our 4th trip. Kids are definitely not a problem. We have three that have attended each year, so for Erica, that would be every August (or July) of her young life. She attended her first rally when she was a little over 6 months old. There have been more kids every year and they always seem to find something to do, even if it is running around in the field by the tent.

Ok, so I see your comment Tuscany, and we need to make reservations for an extra day. I call this morning and there's a recording saying they only make reservations in winter on Thursdays from 9 to 12. Can this get anymore confusing?

Oh No!!! it is very confusing I have been calling the campground here & there and on Monday the 14 I calledto register for additional days for the Rally. There was a new message stating that they would be taking 2011 reservations now on Thursday instead of Mondays. So I called this morning Thursday & the message said to call back on Mondays between 9-12. I left a message to the campground that they need to get it straight on what day to call for reservations!!!!! I'm upset Karen

I thought I would share with you some of the places wevisit when we stay at campground north.

Deutsch Kase Haus

574 825 9511

This is the cheese factory just west of Shipshe on 250 N. You can watch cheese being made here, using milk from local farmers. We buy lots of cheese, which can be frozenfor useat a later date.

Miller's Buggy Line Tours

www.buggyline.com

We've used their services, taking the Grandkids for rides around Shipshe-fun...fun...fun.

Shipshewana Flea Market

www.TradingPlaceAmerica.com

You could spend all day here and not see it all. 2000 booths. Midwest's largest outdoor flea market. Open Tuesday and Wednesday. They even have chinese replicas of Amish things. Great place to spend the day.

Davis Mercantile Co.

www.DavisMercantile.com

Go to visit to see the construction of this building. There is a giant tree in the middle of the building. We like their quilt shops for supplies. Upscale, beautiful stuff in the various shops within the building.

Dutch Country Market

574 825 3594

5.5 miles west of Shipshe on 250 N. Building lighted by gas lights. We buy our homemade noodles by the case here. You can watch Amish ladies making noodles. Lots of other things here including great honey products--the guys are Indiana beekeepers so it is all local honey.

Yoder's Meat & Cheese Co.

www.YodersMeatShoppe.com

Believe it or not, meat that is natural-fed, with no added growth hormones, steroids, or by-products. This is the first store where I ever bought products without seeing them first. We go there 2-3 times a year to buy our freezer supplies. They have products ready for the freezer, so bring your coolers. Don't worry about the products, they will be top quality.

For the best kettle corn try the fellow, with the big copper kettle, on the South side of this building.

Yoder's Shopping Center

Yoder's Department Store

www.YoderDepartmentStore.com

Yoder's Hardware

www.YodersHardware.com

Department store has quilt goods, hats, shoes, boots and Crocs, clothing and misc.

Hardware store has stuff of all kinds. You'll like it here-rocking chairs in the hallway for you while she shops.

Hope you can work all this in while visiting Indiana and CrossRoads factory at Topeka.

Thanks for listening.

Stan
