Talking 2015 MASON DIXON FALL RALLY in Virginia


The 2015 fall rally for the Mason Dixon Bunch will be at Candy Hill Campground in Winchester Virginia on the dates of October 9 - 12, 2015. This is a holiday weekend and reservations require a minimum of 3 days...Friday, Saturday and Sunday night....

Reservations MUST BE made no later than AUGUST 28th, 2015 and secured with a $50.00 deposit. CHECK-IN time is 1:00PM...They charge a fee of $2.00 dollars an hour if you arrive early.

Friday - - Wine and Cheese at 5pm followed by White Elephant Exchange
Emmy - ham rolls, wine
Rick - chicken wings
Tony & Nancy - wine and cheese
Tommy & Nancy - wine and finger sandwiches
Joe and Joan - griled salmon, cheese and wine

Saturday - breakfast at 9am - group dinner at 6pm
Breakfast
Emmy & Stan - stewed apples,eggs and bacon
Rick - beef
Tommy & Rosie - ham steak and scrapple
Joe and Joan - eggs and sausage


Dinner
Rick - smoking beef
Stan - smoking bbq ribs
Emmy - sweet potatoe casserole
Rosie - meatballs and sausage
Tony & Nancy - Mac and Cheese, flank steak
Joe and Joan - bean casserole and apple pie


Sunday - breakfast at 9am - Dinner on your own
Breakfast
Rick - Hot Italian sausage

Monday - depart campground

Well, bad news as of right now we are unable to go this year. Another co-worker beat me to the punch on taking that weekend off and we can't have 2 nurses off at the same time.

Sadly the NE rally is the same weekend as the national conference that my boss and one of my coworkers are going to. Ugh why can't I be retired? On the upside do get to go to my first factory rally this year (forest river) and it sounds like I might be seeing Joe and Joan there.

Reservation made! Site F10. Deb is probably coming also! I'll arrive on Thursday and we'll leave on Monday. I am planning on cooking some type of roast or smoked beast!

Rick....kind of funny, very cold here last night too. but the temps rising and we're getting hammered with up to 8" of snow! Freeze or get snowed under....we're too far north still.

Temps holding pretty good here in Florida, mostly in 60s and 70s during the day. No snow, no snow, no snow.
