We're away on a trip without the manual so can't figure this out - hopefully someone can provide an answer.

We are hooked up to 30 amp power and, with only the fridge and main ceiling lights on (the four round lights - two each in front of the upper cabinets on each side of the interior), when the bathroom lights are turned on it appears a fan (at least that's what it sounds like) starts to run in the brown square vented box just below the fridge, beside the furnace. The fan only turns on when the bathroom lights are turned on and only when the main lights are already on. If these main lights are off, or even if the other ceiling lights (rectangular ones in the centre of the room) are on, and the bathroom lights are turned on, the fan does not run.

Can someone advise why this fan comes on and what it does?? It's weird but we have used the trailer many times before but have never noticed this fan coming on....

Thanks

The light in the bathroom is 12v DC, so when you turn it on the fan you here running the power converter, taking the A/C current coming into your unit and sending DC to those lights that are DC.

Jim's correct. The more DC stuff you have on the more the converter will work. The fan will run to cool the converter. My fan has several speeds and runs faster (and louder) as you turn on more DC lights.

By the way, I meant "Great" in my response, not Greta. The computer crashed immediately after posting, so could not edit.......
