Looking Ahead

Looking for suggestions for winter stays in Florida. Starting to think about escaping the COLD each year. We live on the east coast so we will try Florida first. Thanks

We lived in Pensacola, Florida for a number of years and really liked it. Lots to do, close to Alabama, New Orleans and the weather was Florida typical. The town is pretty large so it has all the typical stores for your needs.

Lloyd we are thinking of spending a month in 3 different areas to get an overall impression of Fl. We spent a month on the east coast on Hutchinson Island below Ft Pierce last year. That was far enough south.
Would like to check out west coast and a central spot then finish up on the panhandle ( Destin, Pensacola). Would like input from this community as you know you cannot always trust online reviews.
Thanks

There are several nice campgrounds in and around the Sarasota area. Sarasota is on the gulf coast between Tampa and Fort Myers. Sun N Fun is a huge campground with lots of amenities. Nice weather in the winter and lots to do.
