Congrats! How were the roads. We are heading up there in August on a 4 week trip.

Don't know that my Kingston will ever make that trip but I have no doubt that it would handle the trip just fine. We are packing up our Kingston now and heading out to Pigeon Forge in the morning for the 4th. Have fun in Alaska and post pictures.

Really ugly from Destruction Bay to the AK border. Semi ugly in sections around the state (but nothing like in the Yukon). Slow and slow is the way to go.

Thanks. That's good to know for my planning.

Well the Kingston performed pretty well. Compared to the blow outs, broken axles, etc. that we witnessed, our unit did really well.

The only issues we had:
1. Sofa slide really struggled at 3/4 battery to get started, it has been showing it's age. We are having it looked at to see if a larger motor might help.

2. The plastic dust/water pieces on the corners of the slide floors started breaking off. We noticed an increase in dust where they had broken. Trying to get those replaced.

3. The oven bounces. What it did was slowly loosened the 4 mounting screws, then bounced the holes larger, then bounced into the filler wood that the lower cabinet door closes on which caused the door catch to no longer align with the filler panel. By the time we figured out how much it was bouncing the screws would not set any longer, we had to temporarily remount the cabinet door latch so it would close, and the trim that mounts the oven to the counter is pretty bent up and needs replaced. I noticed in the manual that they mentioned 2 optional mounting screws at the bottom, Crossroads probably needed to use those.

4. The bedroom slide is leaning on one side. Saw a write-up from Kamper Dave on the bed separating from the slide (we put in a full queen when we bought the trailer) so I am guessing that day has finally come and we will need to read Dave's instructions.

However, for beating the crap out of a trailer, it is in really good shape and it now proudly displays on the rear "I survived the Top of the World Highway".

Nice. Enjoy the trip. Been there on a cruise but always wanted to drive there. I think it's about 60 hours for me so will have to wait for that one.
