Remote Propane Attachment

I have a 2014 Sunset Trail 300Bh. It comes with a remote connection to the Propane supply near the back outside Kitchen. I bought all the appropriate hose connections to connect the trailer supply to a Coleman gas grill I bought that is made to use the small propane bottles. Everything appears to connect correctly, but there is not enough gas making it through to the burners to keep them lit. I think the problem is because the gas pressure coming from the trailer has already been reduced and is now going through a second regulator on the gas grill reducing it even further. Can you modify a stand alone gas grill by taking off the regulator somehow and feed directly to the burners? Or do you have to buy a special grill made for RV use? Hope this isn't too confusing.

If the Coleman grill you have is a roadtrip model, the regulator will unscrew from the tube that fits into the grill. You can then fit a hose onto this tube that will connect to the remote connection. This is what I did years ago to my BBQ and works very well.

Yep, you just need to bypass (remove) the pressure regulator on your grill. Obviously only grills with removable regulators will work with the onboard propane. I also modified a portable propane fire pit and removed the regular so it hooks directly to the onboard propane.

You need 11 inches pressure to bbq . Regulator from propane bottle will supply this.

Sorry to butt in , I have a 2013 Sunset Reserve, with the bbq at the rear kitchen. I have hooked it up but I get no propane to light it.
It has been used by previous owner, but I can't get it to light, do you have any suggestions?

Is the valve on at the connection? There is a little lever there.
