The hole in the floor on the basement for your water connect, etc. has always been a sore spot for me, and some of you other guys. This is what I have done to close it up and still be able to hook my water up.

This is what it looks like to start with in the basement.
I removed the fitting that closes the hole.

These are the parts I used. The fitting is on the left, and can be purchased at any RV shop. (I think) You have to knock the one way valve out of it.The wood parts I made, should be one more there, but I guess that one was camera shy. The two black parts are what I removed from top side.

Finished view from top.

Looking up from the bottom with the cap off ready for the water hose.

View from bottom with cap in place.
Should close it up just fine and keep it nice and clean.

I love it... You should sell these at the Factory Rally.

Also, I don't get the pull valve labels.. Are your factory installed labels backwards, I know they're opposite of mine? I would that CR would send you some new ones.

Looks like a very neat job.Just last week Idid mine, but itsa little different .I bought a 1/2 thick camping mat (foam) from Wal-Mart for $5.88 and cut a circle a hair bigger than the hole.I than cut a hole the size of my water hose and a hole for the coax and pushed them thru the hole's.When I'm done,I pull the hose out and leave the coax in and remove the foam.I also did one for my electrical door out of the same stuff and cut a half hole so it fits over the power cord.Keeps wind, rain and unwanted critters out.Not as nice as your job,but it seems to work.

No, the labels are right. I get the nasty stuff out of the one that is labeled for it.

Lloyd -- I hope I spelled that right, it is what is on your profile.

I think I am going to take some of the walls in the basment down, and see if I can run the city water ,and the black tank flush through the side wall of the 5er. I never had a problem with them being that way on my 2007 Cruiser that I owned. I may leave the cable hook-up on the inside, but not sure yet. I'll have to see what I decide to do once the basement walls are down. I know I will leave the black and gray water valve pulls on the inside as I have had several occations when they were pulled, and when I took the cap off to hook the hose up, well lets just say, it wasn't good
