I don't remember any poping sound when useing the AC, but I was not really listening for it. The Fan on the converter is normal. The converter fan is working more when you turn on the lights to cool the converter providing DC power to the bulbs. An easy fix to keep down the noise is changing your bulbs to LED's. Alot of us have done this mod and you will find several threads on the subject.

I have had a 2014 ST32RL for a year now. I haven't heard a popping noise from my AC, of course I might have missed it. The fan for the power inverter does come on depending upon how many 12VDC items you have on at one time (i.e. lights). Many people report that replacing your lights with LED's eliminates the fan coming on.
The only issue I had with mine was noticing that the speakers were wired totally wrong, left channel outside and right channel inside on the "A" button and right channel outside and left channel inside on the "B" button. I corrected that myself instead of going back to the dealer because it was really easy to do. I didn't notice it on the dealer walk-through or on the first "shake down" trip like your on.

That's the idea, my personal and portable house. I've done all the "camping" that I want to. Give them a tent and a bedroll.

I think Cliff is telling on his age. A bedroll is what they used before sleeping bags were invented!

Don't mind that Cliff the graduating class of 2014 never heard of Netscape and Bill Gates has always been the richest man in the world according to them.
