Poor Reception TV Antenna

I know I've seen other threads on people having problems with poor reception from their TV Antenna. On my 300BH I know I have an omni-directional antenna but do not know what brand they use. I've been to two RV parks now where I was lucky if I could get one decent channel. I don't want to go satellite. What are some options/brands out there to upgrade to an antenna that actually works well?

I'm in the same boat with my unit. I didn't want to gut out my cheezy Jensen ant cause then I would have to rebuild the resultant hole in my roof, so being a resourceful student of MacGuiver...I bought one of the KING Jack replacement Heads for around $35 at CW and stuck it on the end of a Recycled 15ft collapsible tree limb clipper and Zip-tyed it to my ladder. Works Like a champ...When we leave, everything folds right up and stores in the basement.

Have you both tried doing a channel search when you arrive to each campground? We had the same problem as you until we discovered you need to search for over the air signals each time you move. Make sure you are set to "Air" instead of "Cable", turn on your booster, then proceed with a search. Generally takes 5 minutes.

Have you asked other campers around you if they are having poor reception? I normally get 10 to 20 stations. Many of them are latin but channels no less.

Oh Yeah, In my case I know it's the Jensen. That's why I bought the King Jack. Just sitting in my driveway, the jensen would only pull in around 10 channels, all of them Tiling like mad (that's what digital signals do when they're weak....No more snow) The King Jack on the stick sits about 10' above my roof lashed up to my ladder, now I get All 30 I know to be in my area. And I can turn it around to tune it in manually.

The replacement Version they sell comes with the adapter clip to go on a winegard mast(as a replacement) or a Clamping setup to go on a round pipe of any kind up to 2" if I remember correctly. I had a tree pruner with a collapsible 15' fiberglass pole that was broke.....Presto! 10' above roof greatness. I'll try and post a photo tonite...
The amp is in the head so the coax passes the power from a separate Wallwart at the set. so u don't have to mess with the inhouse system.

Poor TV reception

We have the useless Jensen antenna on our Cruiser 2011 32MK. Can the Jack antenna be placed where the Jensen sits? I was thinking that I could use the same location and cable to simplify the job. Of course the existing Jensen is kinda hidden beside the AC and for that reason should I try to install a Jack in some other location? Thanks...Al

It is not a direct swap over. You'd have to Buy the other model of the King jack,(comes with the swivel base)More expensive, Cut a bigger Hole ALL the way thru your roof (My Stereo speakers were underneath my Jensen) and figure out how to rewire it. Now I don't know about ya'll, I can DIY Like a madman, but I just got this Land yacht, and my DW would hang my pelt on the Outhouse door if I mucked it up....Much rather TY-rap it to the Ladder and put up with a little bit of Ghetto, Less Painful......
