Cotter pins in rear bumper

I was tired of always losing my bumper ends so I drilled and put cotter pins in them.

Since I don't use for hose storage I drilled and used a stainless steel screw.

Funny.... the bumper is supposed to be used for hose storage, but the hose doesn't fit with fittings on it.....AND the end caps fall off anyway.

I use mine for hose storage and the fittings fit fine. I use a rhino flex hose. I have never lost an end cap in two different rigs. I DO make sure the caps are installed fully before driving.

I saw a post on here, I think about someone making a hose storage out of a PVC fence post. I have found that some hoses wont fit my bumper either.

Just an observation. My TT lost caps, it had the spare mounted on the back bumper. The 2 5'ers I have/had never lost a cap in a lot more miles. Spare mounted underneath and nothing on the back bumper.

Spare bouncing the bumper around and shaking the caps out??????

I think some of the caps are made of a plastic that is too hard. They do not grip the inside of the bumper. That's why I like the Camco No insect bumper cap, It has feather pieces of plastic that flex and hold better on the inside. BUT, I still put a stainless steel screw into the cap to make sure it stays in.

I just bought a Zinger 310SB and love so far. Before I got it home I watched alot of Youtube and asked lots of questions. I purchased the rhino Hose and I can get it in the bumber but it is tight. They gave me a cheap hose I put in in the bumper and it slides around and knocks the caps lose. I keep my Hose in a plastic bin in the front. the Rhino comes with end caps and they seal nice and tight. It is worth getting good Gear one thing I have learned not only here but in life pay for me now or pay for me later and the problems that go with it. I do like the pin thing.

I have to beat my caps in! They are kinda hard. Not saying they won't ever come out but I make sure they are seated every time.
