Is any one else having any problems with the 'Slam-Latch' doors? New Rushmore, Port side (Left/Passenger side) where valve controls,etc...are located, has only one gas strut and the hinge, above that strut, is ripping/breaking. I'm thinking that if there were two struts instead, the hingemight not be stressed as much in the one spot. Crossroads is supposed to be sending a new door, but am wondering what will prevent that one from doing the same?

I have a 335SS and my same door is starting to do the samething. Looked and the rivets and screws is getting loose will let go a little long before getting warranty again. They need to stiffen the door where the shock is and take some stress off of it.

Crossroads replaced Slam-Latch door, did not put additional gas strut, figured it must have been a bad door, .... maybe, we'll see.

Too small of screws / not deep enough combined with a door that is too heavy or strut with to much resistance. Dispersing the pressure / weight will solve the issue.

We have a RF34SB, yes I have had the same problems with both slam doors. The factory screws were way to small, so I put in Large self tappit screws, the last two months they seem to be holding up. I have been living fulltime since April and now that I have most of the bugs worked out, we are enjoying the Rushmore very much.

We also are enjoying our Rushmore, been fulltime since Mar '11, are you going to be able to make the owners rally in Jul in Indiana?
