Thanks for the update. So it looks like Kamper Dave nailed it! I have actually heard of that sort of thing happening. Poor design, I think.

GFCI

Concerning those GFCI outlets:
The folks that commented on the GFCI outlets are pointing to another common problem that you may wish to address.

GFCI outlet will not reset; no 120acV to the kitchen and aft outlets:
Road spray water enters at the top of the junction boxes that are located on the outer walls of the slide-outs. The water then uses the electrical conduit to travel between locations. When the moisture in the junction box gets high enough the GFCI will trip and if or when the junction box dries out the GFCI can be reset.
There was NO caulking at the box of the junction box where the 120acV cable travels up into the slide-out wall, so it will need to be sealed with silicon caulking. We re-made all of the electrical connections in the 4 junction boxes (wire nuts, tape and liquid tape); installed new box covers, new foam gaskets and silicon caulked all covers, seal-tite connectors and holes. We glued the new foam gaskets for each junction box in place so they would not sneak out of position.
After the repairs were made the GFCI outlet was reset and it held.
