Angry Crossroads Sunset Trail Reserve Frustrations

We have had nothing but trouble out of our Sunset Trail Reserve RL32 since purchasing it new in March 2013. Unit was in dealership for service at least half of the time during the first year and repeated problems since then. Slide out leaks were finally repaired after about a year and a half and numerous service visits including when six others were bought in for the same problem at one time. Electrical problems, axles, and the front cap fading. We were finally so frustrated with the inferior quality we didn't even bother to complain about the front cap fade until we heard, and saw, it was a problem for many others. Crossroads has refused to take care of the fade problem for us tho many are evidently being taken care of at Crossroads expense. At our age we just hate confrontation and will drive it as it is, possibly will have a professional sign made up and placed on sides of trailer warning others to beware of Crossroads.

Hope your dealer put that in writing along with a promise to "paint" it when it fades, & it will, otherwise it was another salesman with their lips moving.

They have switched to a different paint job on the cap because of the defective paint. That's why you see a light shade of tan of them now instead of the darker brown that we have/had. We had had so much trouble with ours we just gave up on getting any satisfaction, didn't say anything, and then learned they were taking care of some but by then they claimed it was too late on ours. Only thing I know to do now is to get some sort of satisfaction out of making everyone on the road know Crossroads, excuse the french, screwed us and make them wary of buying a Crossroads unit.

Have not had good results with Crossroads. our Unit is a 2014 and nose is hazed but that is just one of the many problems we have had. Recliners a falling apart. Has only been used 2 seasons by 2 seniors so say 4 months on the chairs. sensors not working, slide harness broken and they refuse to fix it right, landing gear motor had to be fixed twice. overflow hose for fresh water crimped so resulted in overfill as sensors did not work, light in awning not working was fixed once and marked up awning, light over dinette fell twice and broke, kitchen faucet about to fall off. Cruiser Air has no pride in their product!!!!

We have a 2008 ST 27RB and our whole front end has wrinkles and buckles and the graphics! UGH, faded, cracking, peeling. Its terrible. We purchased our TT brand new from a dealer that is 4 hours away from us so bringing it back and forth was unrealistic. Its very frustrating to say the least.

Your problem is not new to that type of front caps. It's an industry wide problem.

We have a 2014 Cruiser Patriot Model CF335SS and the front cap faded. Dealer contacted factory and they paid to have the nose repainted. That was 2 years ago and still is not fading. BTW, it was a year after we bought it.

That is not a paint, it's a gel coat. Best bet is to take it to an autobody shop and try to match paint chips.

If you are going to paint it , just pick a colour that is close as the whole thing will be painted. no need to perfectly match.
