Sliding mirrored doors

2012 patriot 335ss, new to me. It has sliding mirrored doors on the bedroom closet. When you travel, do you just leave them latched at the ends? They travel ok like that? Thanks.

Nothing good happens to things that move while a camper is in motion. We have 2 sliding wood doors and I make sure they are secured.
When secured, do they move?

Have the same mirrored sliders never been an issue. You can expect the plastic slide catches to break from use. I keep an extra set.

Ours are broken. Does anyone know if there are there good magnetic ones that will do the job well?

When we had our HH, I placed a dowel/wooden rod cut to the right length in the track. That eliminated all movement. When we arrived at out place to stay, it was a simple matter to removed the dowel and the latches all worked as they should.

I made some magnetic ones, they are much better. Will never fail. Every so often I make a dozen sets, but don't have any extras right now. I have a video and pics that I will post.

Here is the link to the video.

The link in my signature has a picture showing the several stages in modifying a standard shutter hinge to the magnetic hinge.

We have a set of Larry's hinges. When we bought our current trailer I moved them from our then '04 29RK to the current unit. Really work nice and have not had a door come open.
