A quite a few people have done this in another forum, so I figure I would show you guys, too. I find on my camper, the cam locks are a pain. You have to find the keys every time you open and close a compartment. Half the time, I leave the keys in the lock, and then wonder where I forgot the keys.
I installed these thumb cam locks, made by Fort Lock company. These, you can unlock them when you get to the site, and open and close them without the keys. Then, lock them when you want. Some assembly is required, and you have to work with small parts to put them together. These also do not work on outside showers, since the lock is recessed.
We ordered ours from
http://www.wholesale4inc.com. The guy is friendly, and if you call and ask for the RV lock, he knows what you want, since he has been selling a lot of them since the first guy modder found the lock.
