2014 ST30RE Stabelizer Jacks

Just a couple of quick questions. I tried to contact Crossroads about this but they have not gotten back to me. We did are walk through on this unit a week ago but I am not picking up till tomorrow due to poor weather. During our walk through I asked about the power stab jack operation and was told they were not power but I had to crank down by hand. Only switches in the pass thru storage was for lights in front of trailer and led lights on cap on street side of compartment. If power jacks where are the switches for front and back? Do these reserve units not come standard with power jacks? Also I was told that the air conditioner is a 13,500 unit. Should it not be 15,000btu? I did not get a build sheet and have contacted Crossroads but have not gotten any reply.

Thanks for any help you can give.

They should be power stabilizer jacks. My switches are located on the drivers side just under the frame on the trailer skirt. I had heard they moved them to the storage compartment due to water contamination, but if yours are not located there then try the skirt like mine. one is next to the front stabilizer motor and the other is next to the rear motor.

The AC unit also should be 15,000. an optional 13,500 can be installed in the bedroom. sounds like your salesman is a little confused.

They probably will tell you they have the right to change mid season. From their brochure:

If the switches are not in the front pass thru and are attached to the skirt ,they will gunk up from salt or water or mud. you may want to do what I did...

Picked up TT today finally and yes the switches are right on the skirting. Odd that the service manager ( the guy that did our walk through) did not know about these.

Harley I really like what you did with the switches and will look at doing mine as I can see them getting muddy where we camp in back country.

Look in your kitchen cupboards. There usually is the build sheet on the inside of one of the doors.

Found it thank you. Glad I belong to this forum as I did a bit of research before my walk through.

Thanks

Richard

So... we're waiting to hear. 13,500 or 15,000 BTU's? Any other differences?

Well hard to say. Looked at the build sheet in cupboard and does not say size but unit is defiantly bigger then old unit on are Jayco. On the Jayco we never used the air as we camp in the mountains and rarely got hot enough to use. Just think the dealer was not very informed about this unit.

I've encountered many a salesman who didn't know jack. My wife knew more than a lot of them.
