Having a significant other not required for this rally... We were in Va. twice this season. Twice in the Charlottesville area and once in Williamsburg... Went by Richmond at one point when traveling from C-ville to W-burg...Will have to stop in at some point as I am sure Richmond has plenty to see and do....

My first outing with my Sunset Trail was to American Heritage in Williamsburg last May. My second outing was to Mechanicsburg, PA to Williams Grove Speedway in July.

I think our two states Pa. & Va. are very similar...Big cities in the East and mountains and plenty of country in the Western part on the states...I was born and raised in the city of Phila., but have become quite the country boy since I met my wife Rosie...Now I hardly venture into the city even though I still have family there...

What's a city? OH...I know...a gathering of buildings inhabited by more than 15 people!

Sleepy T, gotta agree Pa and Va are very similar, and we LOVE camping in both. Funny, Deb and I like going to Pa with the good weather and slowly move farther south as it gets colder!! Should know our spring sched for the May rally in the next week or so...Hopin we can coordinate work, school, more work, grandkids, still more work, etc. DavisK, you're in a good central location, and a nice one...our son lives in Chesterfield and loves it.

I will be calling Twin Grove tomorrow to ask them to reserve the rest of the Y section for us...I will also see if they will reserve the R section...

Rick
The area I live in used to be more country than it is now...Most of the farms in the area have been sold and housing developments built just since I have moved here...

Hey all, I am thinking about talking to my wife about the rally. I've been a zinger owner about a year now. What goes on at the rally's. Is there a place to kayak and stuff like that. Our son is 12. Anything for him. Thanks

Lots of fun things. Mostly eating and friends catching up/making new friends. There is always a white elephant, two group breakfasts, a wine and cheese night, and a group potluck. Many have outings to craft fairs or whatever they come up with that year. Last year for the NE rally my family hit hershey, some went to the craft fair while others went on a brewery tour. You can hang with the group or do your own thing.

As for kids my 7 yr old is usually the only kid in the group. We try to find some activities for her and we let her play with other kids at the campground. Hershey park is closed during that trip (at least it was last year), but there is still a lot of cool educational chocolate stuff to do in hershey. We were able to get our daughter's absence excused by journaling on the hershey museum and chocolate world. Oh and the group loves kids, they have bern wonderful with my daughter. If you can't make the NE rally definitely check out the mason Dixon group fall rally. Due to the distance we have only made the NE rally once but we have made the mason Dixon rally four times. Lots of great people, good food and good times.

We purchased our Cruiser Aire a couple weeks ago. Thinking about coming to the rally. Are there any rallies before this one? Possibly in a southern state?

Mason Dixon Bunch Rally. Usually around the first or second weekend of October in Virginia. Next years dates and place have not yet been posted. Check out the 2014 rally for info on what to expect.

The only one on this forum is the one Frank Fhenn mentioned. On the Good Sam forum there are two that I see.

I am very envious, wish I was able to be camping...5er is in the shop...Good luck with the search for the new campground...I have already started my search for the 2016 rally campsite...Might seem way early but if you noticed the lead post, two sites in the Y section were already taken, when I reserved for the 2015 rally... So I guess we will have to recruit them like Walt did Ken & Sarah...
