Just pick up my New 2012 Crusier Patriot 335ss and last night the Frig started to make a huming noise and then quit durning the night, but today it has been doing it most of the day.I call the dealer and their tech. thought it might be a fan on the frig,I was just wanting to no if anyone else has had the same problem.

Last trip out I noticed our fridge was making more noise than it had been. It seemed to be cycling a lot more frequently than before but it did still seem to work right. If anything, it seemed colder than usual.

We have a 2011 Cruiser Patriot 335SS that we purchased in April and the refrigerator cooling fan is very noisy at times. Have discussed it with the dealer; however, when the unit is at the dealer's for warranty work it never makes a sound. At some point the fan will have to be replaced.

It sounds like this may be an issue with the 335SS units.

my 2011 cruiser 325ck has the same issue. It seems that it MOSTLY does it when I am running on propane or when it first switches over to hydro.

Taking mine back to the dealer when we get home for the same noise. Sounds like a rough vibration and seems to be constant whether running on elec or propane. Also had a string break on the rear day/night shade, took it to local shop for restringing but it appears the string has cut into the plastic bar that separates the two sections and can't be repaired.

We had the same fridge fan issue on our 2012 Cruiser Patriot 335SS .............. took it to local dealer and fan was replaced. Fan can be accessed on the outside top panel. On ours there was a piece of panelling across the vent . Not sure why it was there , maybe during installationand somebody forgot to remove it! Crossroads covered the cost. All good since fan replacement.

We have a 2012 325CKP and the frig is also really noisy. We just returned from a long trip and the frig gradually completely shot craps....kaput.....no cold....had to trash all the food. Then the freezer compartment started losing its cooling ability. Hopefully when the dealer fixes the cooling part the fan issue can be fixed. I'll be sure to mention the thing with the piece of paneling covering the vent. Other than the frig thing we really have had a good experience with this unit this summer.

As I recall, looking at the installation directions, that piece of wood/paneling is there to channel any breeze from the lower access panel up the back of the fridge and across the cooling fins to the top. I don't believe it is suppose to be across the vent but rather horizontal, under the top access panel (like a shelf).

Thanks for the reply, The paneling cover about half of the top vent, I think Crossroads shpuld to a recall on the fan and paneling.

Dealer replaced the fan on our unit a few weeks ago and the new one is making the same noise. Still working with Dometic on a solution as this appears to be a common problem for that model refrigerator.

Update on refrigerator fan... Dometic sent another replacement fan of a different brand/model/size and it seems to be very quiet; they may have solved the problem since it has been running about 36 hours now. Only problem is that it is larger than the original fan and the refrigerator won't go all the way back into the opening, sticks out about 1/2". The dealer put some weather-stripping in the gap, but I will probaly intall some molding or trim to dress it up.

Glad to hear that the newly installed fan is quiet. Perhaps they will get this thing figured out. I think that the larger fan is actually for a double door refrigerator.
