Aileen,

Debbie told me that "Y" row is ok....not filled.

Also, that is the row that faces the playground.

Walt is correct the Y row faces the playground. I will call the campground tomorrow and reserve some sites in row Y. Edited by: sleepyT

Just booked. We are in site Y04. We are making a vacation out of the trip. So our plan is to do some time at gettysburg campground and then come on over and also hit Hershey park before leaving the area. That said, due to membership restrictions we can't book gettysburg until 60 days out. As a precaution, I have booked this campground for the entire time and will adjust later if we can get into gettysburg campground. This plan currently has us arriving Sat April 26 and leaving TuesMay 6. That may well change to Thursday May 1to Monday or Tues. may 5th or 6th. I know a little confusing, but at least we will be there this year. Other than the typical battlefield type stuff and Hershey park, any good suggestions on things to do in the area. Remember we will have our little first grader with us and possibly a new to camping dog (looking to adopt a new dog sometime in the off season). Thanks

You beat me to the punch. I called the campground and got three more sites Y02, Y04, Y06. Now that you are in Y04, two left. If I have to call and get more no problem. What is your last name so I can put it on the lead page Also a MIRACLE must have happened last night when I was sleeping. I went to sleep and woke up understanding GREEK. The reason I say that is I actually understood the second to the last post you sent.

Dorney Park is closer to Twin Grove campground than Hershey. Also check out Strasburg Railroad. Edited by: sleepyT

Tommy - what map are you looking at? Hershey is only 20 miles. Allentown is much farther.

I do not know if is or not but if it is a a must see. I left ther in 1990 so it has been 23 years now....I at one time knew one of the original owner of the Railroad. Huber also owned the private car he called the Paradise. Took several rides on it. He did have it open to the public. fo .25 each for the tour. I use to tell him that was how he bought a new car every year

Twin Grove was the Pine Grove KOA. Not anymore. Now the only local KOA is Jonestown KOA - formerly Lickdale Campground - exit 90 on I-81.
