32bh sunset trail
I AM A NEW AND FIRST TIME OWNER OF A TRAVEL TRAILER. I KEEP FORGETTING WHAT WORKS WITH WHAT. SO, HERE IT GOES:
1. IS HOT WATER ONLY SUPPLIED BY PROPANE?
2. IS THE ONLY WAY I CAN GET A/C WORKING WHEN CAMPING IS WITH A GENERATOR?

Usually the water heater has electric or propane for heating water.
The AC only works with AC power. Whether it comes from the electric pedestal at your site or a generator.
By the way, Please don't post with your cap lock on. Posting in all capitol letters is considered shouting.

Yes. You should be able to, providing your camper has the electric set up on the water heater.
Hopefully one of the guys that has the same model trailer as yours will chime in here.

I have a 300BH, but same setup,
The water heater controls are on the cabinet panel to the left as you enter the unit. Separate switches for propane and electric.

If we are somewhere that has electric hook-ups, I always use the electricity to heat the water. Most campground fees cover electricity but you have to refill your propane bolltles.

Thank you Mark - I'm still not understanding - so sorry - I have both switches on the panel (gas & electric) for the water heater. I can hear the heater light but I'm not getting hot water. Is there anything I have to do to be sure the water heater is working? Any switches/valves to turn on? Thanks so much

Check the the by pass valves at the water heater to make sure they are open. Making sure the water going through the heater......

Don't run the heater until you are sure it is filling up with water.

X2. You will want to make sure bypass is closed and water is in tank before firing it up.

As was already said, make sure the bypass is closed and the inlet into the hot water tank is open. Open a hot water faucet and let the water run until all of the air is purged and you get a steady stream from the faucet. Then turn on the hot water heater. If electricity is available I would turn the electric heater on. To use gas to heat the water, you need to make sure you have propane in your tanks and the valves are open on the tanks.

Thank you all - I see 4 white valves in the water pump housing. Are you talking about those valves? I don't see any valves on the heater (outside of the trailer) I see one that could possibly be a pressure valve on the outside heater.

Thank you, - where is the bypass valve? I've had the water heater switch on inside the trailer. I will turn that off.
