Looking for truck camper

We are planning a trip to Alaska in 2016 and are looking for a truck camper because we don't want to take the 5er. Our truck is a GMC 2500, 8 foot box. We are located in eastern Ontario, but are willing to drive a few hours if needed.

I had four truck campers in a row before switching to a 5th wheel. Wish I had kept at least one for special trips. They are profanely expensive considering they have no frame, wheels, axles, brakes, etc. Good luck in your search. I have constantly looked for over a year but can't find a good one at a reasonable price. Seems like dealers give you practically nothing for them on a trade but yet if they have one for sell it is priced too high.

I saw one on rv travel IIRC and it was something like close to $35,000 or more! Crazy!

Tim, I use to have a Lance over the cab. It cost more then that.
Some of the Lances are well over$40,000

I am looking for a TC that fits a short box 3/4 ton, as we are headed to Yukon and Alaska this summer. They are expensive for not having axles, tires or motors. There are decent used ones that are under 7000 that will work , just getting on the road to look.

Local dealer has three on the lot. On their search select truck campers.

The Arctic Fox is almost an identical floor plan as our Lance.
