Just wondering the consensus on storing the trailer between trips and long term. Slide in or out?
I've seen several parked locally with slides out but it seems odd to me. I typically keep mine in for a better weather seal and bug prevention and also to reduce stress and wear on the rails and roof. I don't access mine until right before each trip as its stored off site.

I agree with you. I see them down the road at a resort sitting there with the slide out all winter. Usually with a ton of snow and tree limbs on them.
Doesn't make sense to me.
We generally park ours in the driveway with the slides out for easy access. I find I often go in there for something I may have run out of in the house or for cleaning, etc. When the weather gets colder and the unit is winterized, the slides are in. We go south in December and then the slides are out of course for the duration that it is parked there.

If you are full timing, the slides are out ALL the time...
so same thing if you never move it - the slides can be out all the time...
if do have to move it periodically, then it's up to you...
but easier to move if you don't have to clean off and close the slides - DOOH
I agree though, since I use a storage area, mine are typically in, even though it's a covered area.
Nice, you only have to walk out your door to campground driveway!!
I assume this saves on fuel as well!!
Think of the miles per gallon he is getting, must be a record

I know, I'm about to put 6,000 miles and over 500 gallons of fuel through mine in August. I'm jealous....not really!
Anyway, we keep the slides in when parked at home unless we are loading and unloading. But since we store it in our heated shop, we can open them anytime. We use it as an extra guest house in winter if necessary. I have a full bathroom in the shop as well. (Flame suit on!)

Nice to have a heated shop to store it in! That would be awesome! We're just lucky we can keep it in our driveway. Some of our friends are not that lucky.
Last month we had visitors for several weeks from out of town. They came with their TT which they tow with a Class B motorhome. While with us, they bought a 36' 5er and a truck. They then sold the TT. Until the TT left, we had two 5ers, one TT, one Class B, and two trucks in our driveway! Most of our neighbors thought we were having a gathering of campers! LOL!

That's funny. Ironically I am actually surrounded by Shawnee National Forest and it is very beautiful. It is a lot like being in a campground full time.

Sure, rub it in

We seasonally park ours. Slide is out from April to October.
We have not had any issues with leaks or slide operation. Depending on layout, you may wish to leave it out versus running it in-out-in-out every time you need in the back or whatever.
